Ava Lee

After graduating in 2007, I worked at Foxconn and TCL in roles spanning international trade, executive assistance and business management. These experiences taught me how to build working systems around client needs, bring resources and teams together, and support delivery through clear processes and careful execution.

During that time, I was responsible for international trade involving North America, Latin America, the Middle East, Europe and Asia-Pacific. I gained practical experience in cross-border trade, international logistics and customs clearance processes. This background shaped my attention to communication, documentation and delivery coordination, and provides a foundation for working with international clients and project partners today.

In 2018, I entered the interior design industry and began my entrepreneurial journey. Changing fields brought its challenges, but continued learning and project experience have deepened my commitment to the work.

I regularly attend exhibitions, professional training and study programmes in China and abroad. My learning spans interior design, spatial planning, colour coordination, materials, textiles and furniture craftsmanship.

I also accompany clients on visits to factories and showrooms. These visits connect decisions about proportion, colour and materials with the feel, comfort and practical use of a product. Formal study, first-hand observation and project experience all contribute to the judgement I continue to develop.

I do not begin with a fixed style. Every project has its own context, users and expectations. From an understanding of those needs, I bring layout, scale, colour, materials and product selection into a coherent scheme, with careful attention to where the budget will make the greatest difference.

As Principal, I take part in client conversations, guide the design direction, and participate in key selections and product visits. I also coordinate the team and supply partners through bespoke production, delivery and on-site styling. I care about the overall result and the details that make it possible.

My background in business management also informs how I run AVA HOME. From client communication and design development to supplier coordination, delivery and aftercare, we use planning, execution, review and continuous improvement to connect each stage and follow through on the client’s needs.

I value the different strengths and perspectives within our team. A shared interest in design brings us together; clear responsibilities and close collaboration help us carry each project forward.

As Principal, I aim to create an environment where people can contribute their expertise, while giving clients a consistent and dependable experience throughout the project.

Outside work, I am a mother of three. My husband and I met at university, and my family has been a steady source of support throughout my entrepreneurial journey.

Family life makes me attentive to the everyday realities of a home: the needs of different ages, room for togetherness and privacy, and the ways a home changes as life evolves. These experiences shape how I understand residential spaces and the people who live in them.

My experience in corporate environments and business management also informs how I understand workplaces, commercial and reception spaces: how a space conveys a brand’s character, supports work, interaction and hospitality, and balances the user experience with operational needs. These considerations guide my approach to furnishing schemes and styling.

I value the understanding and trust that develop through working with clients. Each project grows through conversation, shared decisions and a clearer sense of what we hope to achieve together.

I welcome clients and collaborators from different regions. Together with the AVA HOME team, I work on interior furnishing design and implementation for private homes, workplaces, commercial and reception spaces, bringing the shared vision to life with thoughtful design and careful execution.
